We invite you to participate in the First Ignatian Way Photography Contest, an initiative created to highlight the beauty, diversity, and essence of the 92 municipalities that make up the route.
We’re looking for unique perspectives that capture the transformation of the region throughout the year: from its natural landscapes and heritage sites to its traditions, cuisine, spirituality, and the pilgrim’s own experience. Share your best photos and win prizes to enjoy unique experiences on the Ignatian Way!
Categories and Prizes (Total: 2,500€)
- First Prize (1,500€): For the best photography from a technical and artistic standpoint.
- “Spirit of the Camino” Prize (500€): For the photography that best reflects the pilgrim’s experience.
- “Ignatian Camino: Culture, Heritage, and Gastronomy” Prize (500€): For the best image depicting the cultural, heritage, or gastronomic richness of the route.
Instructions for Participation
Step 1: Capture the Essence of the Camino
- Photographs must have been taken in any of the 92 municipalities participating in the Ignatian Way.
- They must be original and unpublished works.
- Images generated or altered using Artificial Intelligence (AI) are not permitted.
- Basic adjustments (light, contrast, saturation, framing) are allowed, but digital editing that adds or removes elements is not permitted.

- Fill out the online registration form, indicating in which municipality each photo was taken.

- Call for entries opens: October 19, 2026
- Submission deadline: June 30, 2027
- Announcement of results: June 30, 2027 (participants will be notified by email)
